So here's the rundown.
I've had the savefile since around 2003 or so and since then we've been playing it every so often until about 5 or some years ago and since then it hasn't been touched. Apparently I had gone to a different town and didn't save so I got the Gyroid face. After that I went and talked to a couple villagers that I haven't seen in years just to relive the nostalgia.
Turns out they don't remember me and act as though I just moved in. I thought it was because of the Gyroid face but it wasn't because I had saved and started over again to get my normal face. So I have absolutely no idea what's been going on and I hope someone can help me because this is seriously strange.
