Most iconic AC character?

My friend mentioned this and it's interesting to consider. Who is the most iconic character in the series ignoring npcs? So this includes the most saught after and most common/well known. I'm gonna go for tabby, mitzi and rosie as the oldest and perhaps marshall/fauna as the newest.

I think Goldie is the unofficial mascot villager; It seems like Nintendo uses her on promotional material a lot. I think Rosie and Fauna are really well-known too. Definitely not Tabby- too weird

Funny you should say that, I restarted my new leaf town and bob is one of my original villagers lol I do love bob though, probably for nostalgic purposes cos he's one of the oldest

haha yeah. marshall is a very trendy/popular character, as well, but i wouldn't call that one iconic. i feel like i mostly just see marshall on tumblr.

Yeah, I wonder if maybe they're trying to give other villagers a chance? There's a few 'icons' in the AC universe that weren't part of the starter pack, honestly, haha.
