Honestly, I love that the AC developers did something to help encourage people to play every day, but at the same time...some of the initiatives are kinda hard and impossible to complete. Like for example, how are you supposed to fish up trash when you have a perfect town? Or what about visiting 5 streetpass homes. New ones! Not even old ones! They have to be new homes on display!
And like, the whole system is weighted toward time travelers who can breeze through initiatives, and people with amiibo cards because they get 5 coupons per villager scanned in. So for people who play the game the way it's technically meant to be played there can grow a sense of frustration.
I cannot tell you how many times I have offered to let people visit RVs for free so they can get items they're willing to pay forum bells for...and they turn me down because they feel that they don't have enough meow coupons. Now granted, there's also something to be said for the fact that people somehow get the idea that when this service is offered there's some sort of expiration date. (Ex: If I don't have enough meow coupons that's it. She's not going to open up her town again.)
Now I'll admit, the notion of an expiration date on an RV visit is convoluted in my opinion. But that's because I'm of the mindset that if someone has an amiibo they're probably not getting rid of it for a while. So it doesn't matter if a villager is scanned in today or tomorrow, or a week from now. If someone's nice enough to offer to let you visit an RV they're probably nice enough to wait until you have coupons. But ehhhh, if they wanna spend their forum bells go for it.
Thoughts? Opinions? Any input onto ways Nintendo could have made this system a bit better for all? Or do you like it the way it is? I'm mixed on it. I like some aspects but hate others.
Discuss.
