Thought we should have a thread for this, since the hype seems to be growing. I just watched the recent Nintendo Direct- the game looks pretty great so far!

What do all of you think? And what characters are you hoping for? I'd really like another Sonic character; Shadow seems like the easiest, since he could just be an echo of Sonic. I would have loved Knuckles, but alas...my favorite non-chuckling monotreme is relegated to Assist Trophy yet again. It's interesting that they've added King K. Rool; I feel like we haven't seen him in quite some time.

It's been fun watching the Sonic fandom's reaction to Shadow being passed over yet again. I would love more Sonic characters to be playable but I doubt it'll happen anytime soon. 

I'm really curious to see who the DLC characters will be! Piranha Plant was definitely a surprise, though they seem like they could be fun to play
