I posted here because I know the artists hangout here ^^ But I have a wacom drawing tablet and I just would like to know what every finds is the best drawing program and if they knew their way around the programs very well or not. Basically, I love drawing on my tablet, but I just don't know how to use the programs very well and I find myself getting frustrated not being able to do all the things I know I'm able to do. :/ Also, if you suggest a program, I'm kind of looking for free programs. Any help would be appreciated!

I use photoshop for everything Photoshop is really good for using tablets. I don't have a tablet now but I remember using one in photoshop and it's really easy to use!

I don't really think a program alone makes anyone better at drawing, but oh well. c:' I use Easy Painttool SAI. Photoshop is more for photo editing, so it has a lot of tools you most likely aren't going to use, SAI has less tools, so it's easier to find what you need. It's not for free (about 45 US$ currently), but way cheaper than the most recent Photoshop versions. An alternative to SAI would be Fire Alpaca, which is free and just like SAI has a stabilizer function. I haven't used Fire Alpaca in a while though and back then it was still in its beta phase, so they might have added more to it. So if it's just drawing what you are striving for, Fire Alpaca would be worth a try!

Thanks guys. I've heard a lot about Gimp and SAI. Also a little about Fire Alpaca. Hoenstly what I think I need to do is download a couple different ones and see which one I'm most comfortable with. (: I can just say right now that ArtRage isn't cutting it. Haha
