In case anyone missed the new console unveil today!:
What does everyone think? I love how you can use it anywhere, also that's the remastered version of skyrim so it must be pretty powerful! Glad it's not VR based xD

Hells yea! I'm excited, I'm hoping it's a 3DS with power and actual online connectivity in matches, perhaps even a way to message each other. more emphasis seems to be put on local multiplayer games and making that happen with the joycons. I've already preordered mine Hope it's still coming out in March!

It's so neat! I love that we can play on a TV and then when we need to go somewhere we can take the "mini console" and just play like on a TV. I just hope that they won't make touch screen on the mini console. It will ruin it a bit I think.

I personally think the new console looks very modern rather than the Wii U which looked all bulky and glossy which caused the Game pad and console to make finger prints stand out a lot! I also love the new cartridge based games, but Im just scared I might end up losing them! With the new console looking so modern and new, the cartridges really give it that retro feel! I am so excited for the Switch, everyday is a inch closer to the release!

Yea whenever i went to see family, it was a pain taking consoles with me and handhelds never sufficed XD imagine skyrim anywhere. I should take it to a coffee shop. I love that cartridges are making a comeback, means they'll load quicker too.

Yea never know with the touchscreen option, could actually be very good in terms of using it as a device with the joycons. Would be a bit more tablet-like but you could still get vital functions like changing system settings without the use of joycons etc. Their developers and publishers list has grown much bigger now, developers are going to want to push this thing to the limit with all the functionality potential.
I think the Wii U originally was intended to be more like how the Switch is, with portability being high on the list. They ended up just going with a screen mirroring option for some titles instead of the whole 9 yards like the Switch is claiming to be. Will be interesting to see if future 'docks' will have improved ram and hardware addons to boost the machines strength in couch mode.
As for the game medium...cartridges all the way. Discs cost more and that means the games cost more. Also I prefer the load times on cartridges and their ability to be tossed across the room, just not against a wall. I hate having a disc for a game I love only for it to have a tiny scratch 10 years later!

Hmm.. Well, I was thinking about the touchscreen from the point of view of a person who is around people. I mean when someone is playing with the Switch placed like a tablet (on a desk or something), other people can come and just ruin his/her game. My brother always wants to annoy me in every way possible, so it'll be another opportunity to do it and then call me "triggered". And about the cartridges. I also thik they are great. They are pretty small, but I think this make it easy to take them somewhere with you or when someone wants to borrow it from you, you can just give it to them like no big deal. When I can I always buy a game on steam, I don't have the disc when I do it, so It's a lot more easier to keep the game fresh and new.
