(I assume most fans have heard, but just in case: The Harvest Moon games are now called Story of Seasons). We seem to have a decent amount of people who like this games, which is great! I have played a variety of games in Story of Seasons and its spinoff. My favorites are Magical Melody, Story of Seasons (3DS), and Rune Factory 4. Which ones do you like?

Omg, Harvest Moon fans I have only played since Island of Happiness because my first console ever was a DS Lite, but I can get really obsessed with the game and my favourite bachelors *u* I can't wait for Story of Seasons to be released in Europe by the end of this month. ...Oh, wait. Bachelors and bachelorettes! Which are your favourites?

Story of Seasons will definitely be worth the wait! ...Oh, wait. Bachelors and bachelorettes! Which are your favourites? That's pretty hard to choose...I love most of the characters in RF4. I think I'm marrying Dylas, but I'm not totally sure. In Magical Melody I went for Alex and in the SNES Harvest Moon I married Eve. I'm thinking Mistel or Fritz for Story of Seasons.

RF4 is literally my life right now. I mean, I love Harvest Moon with all my heart, but I also love the combat aspect of RF4. The bosses are amazing, the dungeons are addicting, the townspeople are adorable - I just love this game. (and I'll soon make Vishnal mine >u>)
As for Story of Seasons....it's alright. The townspeople are a lil bland and I don't really like how I NEED a guide just to play the game. I still enjoy it though. I especially like the new art style - it makes every bachelor look too amazing. (I'm looking at you, Raeger)

I love Rune Factory 4! I want to marry Forte, but I unfortunately chose a female protagonist. It's really annoying that the games don't allow for same-sex couples. Vishnal is cute, but I'm not sure if I'd want to marry him. Almost all the bachelors and bachelorettes are pretty adorable, and the gameplay is very fun. Probably my favorite game in the franchise, maybe tied with Harvest Moon: Magical Melody. The villagers in Story of Seasons are pretty much as interesting/bland as they usually are. With the exception of RF4, it always seems like the villagers just say the exact same things repeatedly. The romantic options are decent. I honestly didn't think the game was much harder than previous ones in the series. I'm not sure if I like the "trading with other countries" thing as opposed to the usual shipment box, but at least they tried to put an interesting spin on an old mechanic. Basically, I'm pretty happy with both games.

SOS is not "hard" per say, but there are a lot of unnecessary features that have me searching through guides just to figure it out. Im mostly referring to the 'Golden Crops' and 'Factories' bit to it. While I do enjoy the extra gameplay it provides, I don't exactly like how complicated a farming simulator is becoming. But that's just my opinion. All in all, SOS is still a decent game. {Spoiler} RIP Eda

I started playing Story of Seasons today. I know it's going to take me firevee to complete everything, and I'm not sure if I like that "field conquest" system. I guess I'll get used to it... I'll think about the real important matter here
Who should I marry?

Where I am at in gameplay field conquest isn't a huge deal? It seems like with this game they went back to basics where you focus on your farm and your search for eternal loooove.

It might not be, but I will try it anyway when I feel like I can actually win. You can play perfectly without using any of the extra fieles, so... What really bithers me is having to wait in order to sell my products and get some money. I know it won't be a big deal once 3-4 merchants are unlocked, but you only start with one and that leaves you with two days a week to make some profit.

I recommend claiming the fields as soon as possible. They get really hard to win later on. I'm still struggling to get the rice paddy. >_> Though, for the most part I don't worry about the extra fields, since I mostly focus on livestock. I did manage to get most of the fields, but I mostly just hang on to them and keep them empty. Because I'm a jerk. The trading system needs some getting used to, but I think it's an interesting new feature. Unlocking the last two countries takes forever though. What gender are you playing as? I'm dating Mistel right now, but sometimes I consider breaking up with him for Fritz. I also like Nadi. I'm very indecisive with marriage in this series. x3
