This game seems really good! I'm honestly surprised- I didn't expect high quality from a mobile game. How necessary are the microtransactions?

At the moment, me and my housemates have had no need for microtransactions but the way this business model works is usually the beginning is pretty fast, you unlock things quickly, level up fast...and then once the dust settles and things start taking longer to craft they expect you to be already invested and then start paying.

I'm not quite there yet but great games in this model are ones which you don't HAVE to pay but through hard work you can still get everything. Games like dragonvale got that right, I had a huge unlocked city in that game and didn't pay a penny.

Just discovered that if you want an animal in your camp but hate the furniture they're asking you to put up for them, you CAN delete the furniture after they've joined your camp. This way you can have as many great villagers as you like and still keep the furniture you like in your camp.

Here's a tip - try to invite as many animals into your camp as possible before the crafting finishes for any of the amenities. The animals staying at your camp will celebrate with a party and their affection will increase by entire levels after it's built!

And also a warning lol NEVER auto arrange your furniture when asked. It erases all your layout and just puts thosd items.

I did this but my level didn't go up by a full level, maybe this only works with lower level animals, mine went up by maybe half a level

You're right Poppy, it only raises by 5 points I think, and not whole levels. Still though, try to make sure you're hosting animals in your camp that aren't at maximum friendship when you finish crafting an amenity, so they get those friendship points during the party!
