I used to play Animal Crossing a lot when it first came out, and I had a ton of items and everything was fully upgraded and such (I think the only thing I was missing was the biggest Nook store) before my interest for it faded. I picked it back up about a year ago, and reset my town. My dilemma now is that I want to reset it again, since I'm not really attached to this town or anything since it's been so long since I've played. But if I do this, I wanted to know a few tips and tricks! Like... - Do you guys chop down all your trees and keep only the fruit trees?
- How do you make your town "neater" looking?
- What are fast ways to get all of the upgrades, other than beetle farming on the island?
- Are there tips/hints to villagers/neighbors? I don't understand how people sell/trade them?
- How do you get more Public Works Projects?
I know I have more questions, but I've always wanted a cute little town but mine always looks so gross. So tips would be greatly appreciated!

1. I usually keep at least a few non-fruit trees to make it easier to get things like beehives. 2. Ha ha, I'm not sure because mine is a mess. Less trees would probably help. I see a lot of people using paths, which seem to make things look nicer. 3. I'm not sure what you mean by upgrades, but if you're looking for Bells, I recommend planting a ton of fruit. When Re-Tail has a special on any non-native fruit, you'll be able to harvest a ton and make a lot of money. 4. As far as I understand it, if someone from another town talks to a villager while they're about to move, then that villager is likely to move to the visitor's town. 5. Villagers will come up to you and request them. What they request depends on their personality. Hope this helps.

Mimi the Great Oh, thanks for the tips! So I have reset my town! I now have Lucy, Lyman, Astrid, T-Bone and Al. Not happy with one of them. Not one. Lol! But that's okay. Maybe they'll all move and I'll get new ones. Gonna look at more villagers and see what my "dreamies" are~ How do you get villagers to move out? Just be mean to them? Dig holes around their house? That's so mean! hahah xD I miss Dotty :(

A lot of people think that lowering a villager's friendship will make them move. But there's no evidence to back that up, so it seems that it's best to just wait it out. I feel you though. I had Al for a while and couldn't stand him. I think Ant is looking for Lyman though.

Oh! I'll have to see. Maybe I can get rid of him and give him to a new home!
Also, I miss Dotty. :( She was so cute. I have a feeling all my dreamies will be kitties. Lol!

I have seen people making towns with just one species of neighbours (squirrels and deers are some I remember right now), so a kitty town would be nice too! ^^ Keeping your town neat can be a difficult thing to do at the beginning, but when neighbours start building their house you might start to see where the paths could go... If you want to create paths, that is. I like my town with paths, but you can do it however you like it best. And about PWPs, I've been playing with the same town for more than two years and I'm still struggling with them. I want a lot of PWPs and my neighbours just won't suggest them... There's a trick for getting a PWP every day, but it takes some time to do and it has almost never worked for me anyway.
